I took a metals elective a few times when i was in college. It was fantastic. I like the independence of metal work over glass work where you typically need the assistance of others.
Clocked 100 hours on this pendant. Hammered Silver with Patina. The unique thing about it is the gem which is bezeled into the front of a hollow tube which goes through to the back. When you hold it up to the light you can see the light illuminate the Red Garnet Stone.

you know whats neat about the pendant which i am not sure if you can tell from the photograph. the stone that I set is actually a clear dark red stone Garnet , and it is set in a tube that opens out on the back. When you hold the pendant to the light, the stone glows.

Well, it's fabulous.

It's just one of those things that hits all those little buttons in my head as few thing have.

I figured there was something special about the stone and had a few guesses (the glowing effect was one of them). I love it.

What are the dimensions of it?

And if it's for sale...the price? :fingerscrossed:

Very nice, is that a Liver of Sulfer patina? I like the rough Texture on the smooth egg-shaped object. The piercing work is very nice, and the I like the texture, is that a filed texture or a chisel/chasing one? Very good work, I hope you continue to post your metal work and jewelry, :+fav:
